Mobile device accessory maker Marware has updated their line of iPhone 4 cases in light of the continuing popularity of the phone, spurred by sales of the recent Verizon version as well as the forthcoming availability of the long-delayed white iPhone 4 models. The models mentioned here are now compatible with both AT&T and Verizon iPhones, and are shipping now (other models may be pre-ordering for the Verizon version). The new lineup includes clutch- and purse-style cases for women as well as the fashionable Accent and C.E.O lines, which feature eco-friendly, Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) leather.
Rarely seen among the many styles of iPhone 4 cases, Marware's Emmie ($40) and SoBe ($45) purse-style cases are particularly marketed as evening wear. Both are made of premium black or white leather, and feature an extra zippered, accordion-style storage compartment alongside the pouch for the iPhone (the pouch can also fit other, similar-sized devices). The SoBe offers a shoulder strap and a vertical design, while the Emmie has both shoulder and wrist straps, a horizontal design, and a bottom cutout for quick removal when the phone is ringing.
For users interested in a dash of color, the company offers its leather flip-top Accent line ($30) in white with with five popular stripe color options, including green, pink, purple, turquoise and yellow. The lid flap has room for additional flat storage, such as credit cards or ID, and underneath the flap the iPhone is protected by a custom suede case that leaves access available to all the buttons, ports and cameras, kept closed by Velcro.
The C.E.O. Premiere holster ($35) does not feature all-access, but does function as a comfortable all-leather holster case for those who like to wear their iPhone using a belt clip. It comes in two colors (black and brown) with a white stripe outside and all-white soft-touch leather inside, secured with a soft Velcro closure. The C.E.O. Flip-Vue case ($35) is an executive-styled version of the Accent, but adding a belt clip on the back for wearing vertically. It features a suede interior with a leather exterior in black and brown, and like the Accent the flip lid has room for flat storage like business cards. All buttons, ports and cameras remain accessible without removing the case.
All the cases ship along with a two-pack of iPhone Screen Protector film. They are available now from Marware directly or Apple retailers.
