Earthquake and Tsunami hits Japan

Meteorological Agency issued tsunami warnings for the entire Pacific coast of Japan. NHK warned people near the coast to go to a safer location. Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii said the tsunami warning applies to Japan, Russia, Northern Marianas Islands, and Marcus. Tsunami warning has been issued for Guam, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia and the U.S. state of Hawaii.


Reported by AFP, the Indonesian government, this afternoon warned residents living in the eastern region, including Papua, Maluku and North Sulawesi, to be careful of the tsunami, triggered by a massive earthquake in Japan. "When the arrival of waves that can be generated (by the tsunami) is estimated at at 20:00 local time," the official warning issued by the government.
